I was trying not analyze why I was making these faces when I came across a quote out of the text “Hands In Clay” by Charlotte Speight & John Toki. The quote was by one of my favorite sculptors, Stephen De Staebler, which stated, “A life without making things that tell you who you are and what you feel is not enough. So I make things.”
I began to ask myself how the faces tell me who I am and how I feel.
