I have been working away, but haven’t kept up with my blog! So, several entries today….
We have started our last year of the program and it’s been rigorus. I have been looking at where I can take my work, while considering what I can do and what the program needs–not an easy task. I think I have a decent place to go from here and I am looking forward to seeing how it develops over the next few months.
These are some of the initial ideas I have been working through:
Conceptually, these are elements of the figure (e.g., head, bust, arms, etc.) that are rendered in detail with a rough opening that exposes symbols or objects. The objects are everyday items that can speak to the duality of materialism and stewardship. I will be flushing this out in greater detail with my thesis and I invite suggestions and ideas.
